How to Renew Iqama in Saudi Arabia
Iqama, officially known as the Resident ID, can be renewed electronically through the Absher platform. The Ministry of Interior provides different renewal services depending on whether you are renewing the Iqama of a family member, a registered domestic worker, or an employee.
Renew Iqama for Family Members or Domestic Workers
The Ministry of Interior's National Platform provides an electronic service for renewing the Resident ID of family members and registered domestic workers through Absher.
For Family Members
According to the official service:
Absher → Family Member Services → Resident ID Services → Select Beneficiary → Resident ID Renewal
For Domestic Workers
For registered domestic workers, the official service path is:
Absher → Labor Services → Resident ID Services → Select Beneficiary → Resident ID Renewal for Dependents
The service is available electronically through the Absher website and mobile applications.
Renew Iqama for Company Employees
For employees sponsored by a company or establishment, the establishment owner can renew the employee's Resident ID through Absher Business.
The official steps are:
- Log in to Absher Business.
- Select My Business Services.
- Choose Renew Iqama.
- Enter the required information.
- Follow the instructions displayed on the screen to complete the renewal.
